El Anatsui is an sculptor from Ghana and was well known for the bottle top installation artwork.

("Artwork." PBS. PBS, n.d. Web. 27 Oct. 2015. <http://www.pbs.org/art21/category/image-type/artwork?page=14>. )

1. At the beginning of the video, El Anatsui shows the sculpture of figures brought close together. And the group of sculpture represents the family members.

2. Many sculptural works are made by El Anatsui and the material used are metal, ceramics and wood in different forms.

("El Anatsui at the Brooklyn Museum at Structural Patterns." Structural Patterns RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 27 Oct. 2015. <http://www.ambriente.com/blog/2013/03/05/el-anatsui-at-the-brooklyn-museum/>. )

3. The sculptural froms makes people to contemplate rather than to use. (Installation art: focus more on creating experience for the audiences rather than the actual artworks)

("Viewer Q&A: Responses from Catherine Opie, El Anatsui, and Marina Abramović." PBS. PBS, n.d. Web. 27 Oct. 2015. <http://www.pbs.org/art21/season-6-features/viewer-qa-responses-from-catherine-opie-el-anatsui-and-marina-abramovic>. )

4. The broken ceramic forms does not necessarilly means the end of its life but to bring out the concept of regeneration.

("Eat Me Daily." Eat Me Daily RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 27 Oct. 2015. <http://www.eatmedaily.com/2009/03/at-the-armory-show-installations-by-el-anatsui-food-art/>.)

5. The installation of the bottle top mimics the kente cloth. (El Anatsui love textile, and kente cloth is the representation of the Nobility in Africa) The bottle top also symbolize the connection of slave trade and drink industry. Similar to Ai WeiWei, El Anatsui got help from volunteers.
